Summary:
Two Planned Parenthood Condoms rated as Poor Strength and/or
Reliability
Two condoms, distributed at Planned Parenthood clinics, generally
free of charge or at low cost, were tested and were found to have
greater tendency to fail during use.
-
Consumer Reports
reported that of all pregnancy prevention options, only condoms may
protect against sexually transmitted diseases including HIV which
causes AIDS. They stated that is a crucial function since HIV
infects 110 Americans every day, half of them under 25 years old.
Consumer Reports tested 23 brand name condoms for strength and
reliability. Two condoms by Planned Parenthood, the Assorted Color
and Honeydew models, were not recommended because they were found to
be poor in strength and reliability.1
